LEJOG48: Broxburn to Falkirk

Today was a pretty cruisey day. The morning was spent walking along some pleasant country roads getting back onto the route while the afternoon was spent walking along a canal. The weather was ok most of the day except for a brief spell of intense rain which made the surface of the canal vibrate from the force of a million little explosions. Of course i remembered to put my trousers on this time.

There’s not much to report really-the nice thing about canal walking is you can really switch off in relatively nice surroundings and let your mind float away. I was on the go for a good six hours but still felt like I’d cheated if was so relaxing. It was a nice feeling to have before my rest day, and it was a nice feeling to have a rest day.
